I am smiling because my brother and Becky came out to visit me, not because of the amazing sales I made at last weekend's art fair.  I sold a grand total of 0 paintings.  I guess that's not entirely true.  My art dealer, Beth, sold one to a friend of hers after she sent pictures out via facebook.  It turned out that this fair was more for people interested in purchasing "monkey butt" scented candles (I'm not joking, I saw them) and chicken on a stick.  There were a couple of other people selling artwork, but mostly of the unicorn variety.  I like unicorns as well as the next guy, I'm not complaining.  Just pointing out that overall this crowd had different taste than what I offered at my booth.  And that's cool.  It was a great experience overall.

A special shout out of thanks to Beth and my mama!  They helped me all day and took all these pictures.

I love my flower basket so much, I brought it with me from home.  I brought two in fact!

The only inquiry we had about the custom portraits I offered was, "So that's $2.00 per portrait?"  My friend and roadie/dealer Beth said, "No, I'm afraid that says $200.  But it includes matting and framing."  The lady said "OH!  So this stuff is real?"  I'm not sure what that means, but I'll just take it as a compliment.

A devoted crew, Mom, Beth and I.  It was a really fun day all in all.  It was great hanging out all day with people I love being around.  Oh, and we got to hear "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Freebird" performed twice!  : )

I'm slowly adding paintings to my Etsy shop.  You can visit that
